About this time last year, I had the opportunity to work with Megan Cylkowski for a model photography test shoot while in town. The shoot was done at my friend Bill’s house, in his home studio located in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
I met Megan a year and a half prior, when we worked together for a fun beauty photography session with one of my favorite people – makeup artist Danielle Dearman. The shoot was literally one of my last days in Michigan (In fact, that evening, I had my going away party with friends). The shoot was a lot of fun, and all of us (model Collyn Deephouse as a second model) instantly became really close friends from the day, and still keep in touch to this day.
This shoot was a simple studio shoot, something I hadn’t done in a while since moving to New Mexico, with the exception of headshot photography. But mostly, it was just a really great time to meet up again, whilst taking some amazing photos.
We kind of went into the shoot with very little of a concept in mind. I just wanted to make use of the studio space I was given access to by my friend while I was in Kalamazoo, and Megan was hoping to get some new photos to put in her portfolio.
I just wanted to announce this to also announce that I’ll be back in Kalamazoo, for the holidays, starting December 21st until the 29th. I’m available for ONE session during that time, so if you’d like to work together, please contact me directly for my rates and availability.
