Fashion Photography Session In Albuquerque with Liz Pate

Earlier this summer, I shot a wedding with my dear friend Jennifer Garrett at the Balloon Fiesta Grounds here in Albuquerque. While there, you end up meeting and photographing a lot of people. One of those people is my now dear friend Liz Pate.

When I saw Liz at the wedding, she immediately stood out to me. Not only is she gorgeous, but she is around 6ft tall, and very modelesque in stature. It wasn’t until a month or two later when I ran into Liz again while out socializing with friends around town.

We met through some friends, and shortly thereafter I asked if she had any experience in modeling. She said no, and that she gets that on a fairly regular basis, but was willing to help me with a couple projects in exchange for some nice new photos. From there, we started planning for a shoot a couple days following our conversation.

I was able to get in touch with my friend Ryan, who owns Toad Road, a boutique here in town. We were able to meet at his store, style the shoot, and be out at Tingley Beach the next day, geared up and ready to shoot. As always, I had my favorite makeup artist, Kata from The Pretty Committee to help with the hair and makeup aspect of the photo shoot. The best part of all of this photography session is that we were able to put all of this together in a matter of days.

Despite Liz having virtually no experience modeling, she ended up doing a great job, and we were able to get a couple really awesome photos from the day. Aside from that, Liz and I bonded during the shoot and she is now one of my favorite people here in New Mexico. Below are some of the photos I was able to capture here around Albuquerque.
