For the better part of the last year, I’ve been getting a ton of inquiries about upcoming lighting and & photography workshops. For those who don’t know, I’ve been teaching workshops and hosting lectures for over 5 years now, and love sharing my knowledge of lighting and photography to as many people as possible. As much as I love teaching, I’ve been fortunate enough to be extremely busy with photography projects, and haven’t had the opportunity to plan any educational services until now. With that said, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be hosting two different two-day photography workshops in the coming months, One in El Paso, TX, and one in Los Angeles, CA.
My workshops have traveled all over the United States in the past, and there was a very good reason as to why I chose El Paso, and Los Angeles has the hosting cities for my workshops. For one, I love the southwest, so El Paso seemed like an interesting place to host a workshop. David Parish is a photographer in El Paso and has been working for a few years now to strengthen the community of photographers through workshops and lectures. He and I spoke about his community, and his passion for education and growing the community. After talking with him, I was eager to get a photography workshop down there and help him with his message – a message I align with.
When it came to Los Angeles, it was largely the same message. Los Angeles is this incredible city that I’m fortunate to call my home. But despite there being so many excellent photographers within the community, educational products are still limited. With schools like Brookes Institute closing down, photography education has become harder and harder to find within LA. For that reason, I spoke with Samy’s Camera, and we agreed to teach a workshop to help fill that void.
