The other day, I posted a blog entry about my headshot photography session with Cara Ovis, a fitness model in Albuquerque who is making the transition into acting. Well, meet Cara’s beautiful mother, Nancy Ovis. After seeing the work Kata Baron of The Pretty Committee and I did for her daughters headshots, Nancy contacted us to see if she could get a session in as well.
Now that Cara has moved out, graduated college and starting her career in acting, Nancy has plenty of time and decided she’d like to get into extras work here in Albuquerque as a hobby. While she is not currently signed with an agency, I’m confident her ambitious and pleasant attitude will get her a lot of work in town and all over New Mexico.
Nancy was a dancer for most of her life, traveling the world dancing with troupes and groups to thousands of people. So because of this, she has a very fun and open personality. She moved to Albuquerque years ago, following her career in dance to raise her daughter, Cara. Since Cara has grown up and is a success adult in the community, Nancy now takes dances classes around town and is looking for more hobbies to occupy her time, which is where acting came along. Because of her extensive career, I have no doubt that she’ll be able to handle the pressures of the camera and the sets of today’s movies and TV shows.
