As many of you know, over the last year, I’ve been teaching photography workshops in Albuquerque as well as all over the world. The response I’ve gotten from these photography workshops has been incredible, and have had the pleasure of teaching dozens of students from all over the United States, helping their skills and knowledge in photography to grow considerably.
For the most part, these photography workshops have had a heavy focus on lighting principles, both in studio and on location. While I feel like lighting techniques are my bread and butter, I’ve had a lot of students and photographers ask if I’d be teaching a retouching workshop in the coming months.
I’ve always been a little bit apprehensive on teaching a retouching workshop, because everyone has a different technique and process when it comes to retouching an image. Certainly the techniques that apply to high end beauty photography wouldn’t always apply for lifestyle wedding photography. For this reason, building lecture and photography workshops for this, has been a challenge, and too difficult to tailor to everyone who is interested in my photography workshops.
So I decided to do something different, and am now excited to announce my One on One Retouching classes, available for everyone and anyone who is interested. What makes these little one on one session special is that they’re tailored entirely to you. If you want to learn how to master Lightroom, I can build a two hour session to teach you everything you need to know. If you want to know how to do high end beauty retouching, making skin and makeup flawless, I can teach that as well. And of course, if you want to learn how to properly tone and control color casts in commercial photography, I can teach you to do that as well, in your own custom 2-4 hour personal photography workshop.
And that is exactly what they are, one on one lessons. So they can be done all over the world, and will work precisely at your own pace. Using methods like Skype and other screen sharing software, I’m no longer limited to different areas and demographics. I’m able to teach you and help you build your techniques from anywhere in the world, and entirely on your own schedule.
