Recently, I traveled back to Kalamazoo Michigan to teach a photography workshop. But that wasn’t the only thing I was in town for. One of the other many reasons was to take some engagement photos of some friends of mine, as well as prep for coming back to Grand Rapids Michigan to photograph their wedding in September (and maybe, just maybe, teach another photography workshop).
While I haven’t seen Jason in years leading up to this trip, I used to play baseball, basketball and soccer with him growing up, and have known him for nearly my entire life. Since our youthful days, Jason went to the same college as me, and graduated with a degree in Integrated Supply Chain Management and eventually moved an hour north to Grand Rapids, MI to start his career in the Supply Chain Management workforce.
Shortly thereafter, he met the wonderful Jackie, and they started dating. It’s hard to believe that Jackie and Jason lived just a couple miles from eachother while growing up, and didn’t meet until after college.
And here we are today. The two of them have fallen in love and decided to get married this fall, and have asked me to photograph their wedding. Even though I live over 1600 miles away, I excitedly agreed to photograph their wedding. We’ve arranged all the plans and I’m excited to be their photographer for their special day in late September. Take a look at some of the engagement photography I took for them, and stay tuned for some amazing wedding photographs of them in the coming months.
And finally be sure to keep me in mind for wedding photography and engagement photography all over the world. Aside from photography, I have a huge passion for traveling, and would love to be able to blend them both to get you some amazing wedding or engagement photographs.
