This past week, I’ve been busy planning for the next year with workshops and education projects. I’ve also been booked to the max with headshot photography sessions. With that in mind, I want to make sure I keep up on all my work before I leave town for a week for the holidays (I’ll be back in Michigan on the 21st til the 29th). So since I’m working hard to make sure I’m on top of my work, I’ve been able to get new work out in record time. That is no exception with this Headshot Photography session (It was done on Dec. 6th).
Aide and I have been planning this headshot session for a while now, as we both have pretty busy schedules. We were finally able to meet this past weekend, and start to work on her getting some updated headshots for all the upcoming work in New Mexico.
It’s was great to meet with Aide as she has been signed with A&M Talent House in Santa Fe for a few years now. It has only been the last couple years that the industry has really boomed in New Mexico, so it was great to meet someone who has been doing it for longer than most of the actors in Albuquerque. Aide was incredibly easy to work with, as she is very photogenic, despite her not having a professional headshot session before this photoshoot.
For a while now, she has been using photos that her friend took of her as her headshot. And while those photos looked great, she decided that she wanted something a little cleaner to use to gain some new potential work. Her previous headshots were outdoors, and over three years old at this point, so it was time for an update. We chose to shoot in studio, as Albuquerque has been getting a lot of rain as of late, and it’s not the prime time for beautiful colors outdoors for headshot photography. The resulting photos look really modern, and clean, which should certainly give Aide some new and exciting job offers.
Aide is a classically trained actress, and was able to get her degree in theatre at UNM. While she is still trying to break out into more paid work, she has been apart of many student and indie films over the years. I expect that with these updated headshots, Aide will be able to get some new and exciting opportunities in the acting world in no time.
