Recently, I was able to work with Andrea Olivas, who is an upcoming director and producer here in Albuquerque, NM. She was great to work with, however told me prior to shooting with her that she had worked with a couple photographers before me and were unhappy with their professionalism. Between being slow to respond to emails, slow to return edited files and overall low quality of work that she was faced with, I was happy to prove to her that there are some hardworking artist here in Albuquerque, and I think I was able to show her that pretty well.
From the conversation we had, it sounds like Andrea is about to do some big things with New Mexico. Not only is she learning everything there is to know about the industry, promotion, social media and everything else that’s often neglected; she’s also got a ton of drive to show off her knowledge. She told me that she is currently working on some screenplays, and hopes to show off her talents on a large scale soon.
What she actually needed was not headshots for her acting career, but work that she can present on her LinkedIn, imdb, and other social media platforms. However, she looked through my work and really liked the clean and modern style of my headshot work found in my headshot portfolio. So while she needed a 1/2 shot for her twitter and other social media platforms, she was hoping to maintain the style used in my headshot work. I was of course happy to help.
Watch out for this gorgeous woman Albuquerque, she’s off doing big things for this city!
