Over the last week or two, I’ve gotten dozens of inquiries, all asking the same basic thing — “Will you be having any Black Friday or Cyber Monday specials?”. My answer is always the same, “No, I’m sorry, I will not.” My reasoning for this is pretty simple as to why, because I think my products are worth it, and I think you should too.
Now before you write me off as arrogant, let me explain this better for you. My prices aren’t set to help me live a life of luxury. I drive a Ford Taurus that is over 10 years old, and I live in a modest apartment with my headshot photography studio attached to it. Importantly, I’m completely content with this. My prices are set to be a quality product that anyone can afford.
For a couple hundred dollars, you’re able to book a headshot session with me, which will potentially net you thousands of dollars in work. If you need evidence of this, you’re welcome to check out the testimonials of some of my past clients, or even just ask a couple of the agencies in town about me.
So my photography packages don’t come at discounted prices for holidays, because I think I already offer an outstanding product for the local community. For example, all of my photography sessions come with the following —

If there was one thing that Thanksgiving reminded me of is how completely thankful I am for what I’m able to do. Trust me, I know how lucky I am to be able to do exactly what I love for a living, and I certainly don’t want to take that for granted. I already average 4 or 5 photography sessions a week, and my only regret I have is that I’m unable to do 9 or 10 (I’m trying to find a way to stop sleeping, I’ll let you know if I figure it out). Knowing this is the only luxury I need is why I have affordable prices, with no room for a Black Friday or Cyber Monday discount.
