Dewy Skin Beauty Photography

One of my absolutely favorite beauty photography sets with Joyce and Francie Luxe. Shot in my personal photography studio in Los Angeles, the purpose of these photos was to photograph some clean beauty photography, while adding various elements to make a more striking image overall.

Shot using a white backdrop, I was able to add to this image with the use of some soft lighting, while also using a V-flat to create some wrapping effects of the light – adding some rim lights to the subject. Paired with a dewy skin look, we were able to get a lot of really great highlights, while also maintaining the detail in the skin. By using various pieces of glass in front of the camera, we were able to get some interesting flairs and lighting properties to really tie the look together.

To date, this is the only time I’ve worked with Joyce in beauty photography, but she was great to work with and I’m excited for the opportunity to work with her again some day.
